About the instructor

Paul spent twenty years in the City of Brotherly Love, where he studied at both Biblical Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary and served fifteen years as the lead pastor of Renewal Presbyterian Church. Family life is a bountiful blessing for Paul and his loving wife Janette. Their four homeschooled boys – Elijah, Caleb, Noah, and Nathan – keep life full of activity and bursting at the seams. Paul enjoys jogging along beautiful trails, playing with his boys, experiencing the diversity of LA’s food scene, and listening to podcasts during his many hours in LA traffic.

WHY BAPTISM IS IMPORTANT:

We believe that baptism is a rich and beautiful sacrament instituted by Jesus Himself to bless and encourage His people.

Jesus commanded baptism as an expression of God’s committed love for His people. We believe you will experience God’s love for you more and more as you grow in your understanding of this beautiful sacrament. So, whether you are a new believer in Jesus, or you have been walking with Him for years, we invite you to download the outline and watch these videos.

ABOUT THE COURSE:

The purpose of these videos is to explain what baptism is, why we do it, and what it means. Anyone is welcome to watch these videos, but they have been prepared specifically for those of you who are considering baptism at Pacific Crossroads Church. Whether you are an individual considering being baptized yourself, or you are a parent considering having your child baptized, watching these videos is the first step in preparing for baptism at PCC.

Watching all of the videos will take you about 25 minutes. We have prepared a PDF outline of the course that you can download to help you follow along as you watch.

NEXT STEPS:

Once you have finished watching the videos, you will be invited to schedule a time to meet with one of our pastors. In that meeting the pastor will review the material in these videos, explain our baptism vows, and answer any questions you may have. Then, if you are ready, the PCC staff will work with you to schedule your baptism at one of our three worship services.

We look forward to being in touch with you soon!
